SS 904L Pipe Fittings (UNS N08904 / Werkstoff Nr. 1.4539) are designed for moderate-to-high corrosion resistance across various process conditions. The elevated chromium and nickel content, combined with molybdenum and copper additions, ensures outstanding resistance against chloride-induced pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking outperforming conventional 316L and 317L grades. These fittings also exhibit excellent resistance to inorganic acids, heated phosphoric acid and the majority of organic acids, making them the preferred choice in chemical processing, oil & gas, and pharmaceutical industries.
The key advantage of stainless steel 904L fittings is their weldability, they can be joined using standard welding procedures with no pre-heat or post-weld heat treatment required. Available in seamless and welded constructions, in types including elbows, tees, reducers, caps, and crosses, they comply fully with ASTM A403 / ASME SA403 and ANSI B16.9 dimensional standards. Every batch of 904L pipe fittings undergoes 100% PMI (Positive Material Identification) testing, dimensional inspection per ASME B16.9, and hydrostatic pressure testing before dispatch supported by EN 10204 3.1 Mill Test Certificates.
