Stainless Steel 316 Pipes & Tubes — ASTM A312 TP316 Manufacturer Supplier & Exporter

Amardeep Steel Centre is a major manufacturer, supplier, and exporter of Stainless steel 316 pipes in India. Our SS 316 Pipes are designed as per the rigorous industrial needs and gives a great resistance to corrosion, superior mechanical strength and in full accordance with the ASTM A312 and ASME SA312 norms. Grade 316 stainless steel commonly referred to as marine grade stainless steel, has molybdenum hence it has higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion caused by chlorides than grade 304. Our product sales product line consists of 316 stainless steel tubing produced in seamless, ERW welded, EFW, and LSAW in 1/8" NB to 30" NB and in a variety of pressure schedules between SCH 10 and XXS. Besides that, we provide pipes with different surface finishes wherein they are annealed and pickled finished, polished, bright annealed, and passivated depending on the requirements of the application. Whether you require 316 stainless pipe for oil & gas, marine, chemical processing, or pharmaceutical industries, Amardeep Steel ensures consistent quality, fast delivery, and competitive pricing.
What Is Stainless Steel 316 Pipe?
Stainless Steel 316 Pipe is an austenitic, molybdenum-bearing stainless steel pipe grade. The addition of 2–3% molybdenum provides enhanced resistance to pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion, especially in chloride-rich environments such as seawater, brine, and acidic chemical processes.
It is one of the most widely used grades for applications where corrosion resistance and durability are critical.
SS 316 vs SS 304 Pipe — Key Differences:
SS 316 contains 2–3% molybdenum, while SS 304 does not, making SS 316 more suitable for marine and chemical environments. It performs better in acidic and high-chloride conditions and offers improved strength at elevated temperatures.
Additionally, 316 stainless steel tubing is preferred in pharmaceutical and food-grade industries due to its improved cleanability and hygiene properties.

FAQ's About Stainless Steel 316 Pipes & Tubes
What is 316 Stainless Steel Pipe?
Stainless Steel 316 Pipe is an austenitic stainless steel grade pipe that has good resistance to chloride ion corrosion stress cracking. For this reason, the pipe is used in marine and sea water applications with ease.
What is the difference between 304 and 316 stainless steel piping?
The key difference between 304 and 316 stainless steel that makes them different is the addition of molybdenum, an alloy that drastically enhances corrosion resistance, especially for more saline or chloride-exposed environments. 316 stainless steel contains molybdenum, but 304 does not.
Is 316 Stainless Steel Pipe magnetic?
In its annealed (softened) state, 316 Stainless Steel Pipe is essentially non-magnetic due to its austenitic structure. However, significant cold working (like bending or heavy forming) can induce slight magnetism.
How can I get a price for 316 Stainless Steel Pipe from Amardeep Steel Centre?
Pricing for ss 316 pipe depends on market conditions, grade (316/316L), type (seamless/welded), dimensions, quantity, and any required processing. The best way to get an accurate quote is to contact our sales team directly via phone, email, or our website's quote request form.
