Valve Manufacturing & Quality Testing Process

Valve bodies and trims we supply are produced by casting (for Gate, Globe, Check, Ball and Butterfly valve bodies) or forging (for smaller, high-pressure valves), followed by precision CNC machining of seating and sealing surfaces, assembly, and pressure testing before dispatch:

• Raw material verification and chemical/mechanical testing of body, trim and seat materials
• Precision CNC machining of body bore, seats and stem for accurate sealing and smooth operation
• Hydrostatic shell test to confirm pressure-boundary integrity, and seat leakage test per API 598
• Functional testing of open/close operation, actuator interface and by-pass arrangements where fitted
• Final dimensional check, marking (size, class, material grade, heat number) and EN 10204 mill test certification

Gate Valves

Gate valves use a flat or wedge-shaped gate that lifts clear of the flow path, giving very low pressure drop when fully open — best suited to fully open/fully closed on-off service rather than throttling. We supply both Hand Wheel Operated and Gear Operated gate valves, with the following features available on request:

• Solid or flexible wedge design
• Special flange facings (large/small male-female, ring-joint face) to suit specific applications
• Matching electric actuator for remote/automated operation
• By-pass arrangement, position indicator and extension stem with or without floor stand
• Pressure-seal design bonnet on request

Globe Valves

Globe valves force flow through an S-shaped path past a disc and seat, giving better throttling control and tight shutoff than a gate valve, at the cost of a higher permanent pressure drop even when fully open. Available in Hand Wheel Operated and Gear Operated versions, in the following configurations:

• Steel bolted bonnet
• Steel pressure-seal bonnet
• Cryogenic service
• Cast iron O, S & Y pattern
• Bellow seal (zero-leakage stem)
• Chlorine service

Check Valves

Check valves allow flow in one direction only, closing automatically to prevent backflow. We supply Swing Check, Lift Type, Single Plate Wafer and Dual Plate Wafer check valves, in the following configurations:

• Steel bolted cover, swing type

• Dual plate type

Ball Valves

Ball valves use a bored ball that rotates 90 degrees to open or block flow, giving tight shutoff and a nearly unrestricted full-bore flow path when open. We supply 1-Piece, 2-Piece and 3-Piece Ball Valves (reduced bore, full bore, and full-jacketed), 3-Way/4-Way IC Ball Valves, and the following specialised designs:

• 2x2 Sandwich Ball Valve — Body/Ball in CF8 (SS304), CF3 (SS304L), CF8M (SS316), CF3M (SS316L) or Cast Steel WCB; PTFE seat/seal; Class 150#/300#; wafer end to ANSI B16.5
• 2/2 and 3/2 High Pressure Ball Valves — Forged CS/SS304/SS316 body; Viton O-ring; up to 80C standard (higher on request); for air, water, oil & gas media
• 3-Piece High Pressure Ball Valve — Body to ASTM A216 Gr.WCB / A351 Gr.CF8/CF8M; AISI 304/316 ball; Class 800#/900#
• Flush Bottom Ball Valve — same material range as the 3-piece design, for tank/vessel bottom-outlet service

Butterfly Valves

Butterfly valves use a rotating disc within the pipe bore — compact and lightweight for large diameters, though the disc remains in the flow path, causing a small pressure drop even fully open. We supply Wafer Type, Offset Disc, Lugged Type, Pharma, Double Flanged Handle and Spherical Disc butterfly valves, across Models 12/12L, 44/44L, 98 Hygiene, 81, 85F, 91/91L (High-Performance Double Offset) and 93/93L (High-Performance Triple Offset), with material options including:

• Pharma Butterfly Valve — CF8/CF8M/CF3M body and ball; silicone gland seal/seat; up to 6 bar/vacuum; wafer end to ANSI 150#
• Double Flanged Handle Butterfly Valve — Cast Iron/Ductile Iron/SG Iron/Cast Steel/SS304/SS316 body; PTFE gland seal; EPDM/Nitrile/Hypalon/Viton seat; PN10/PN16
• Spherical Disc Butterfly Valve — same body material range; PTFE gland seal; EPDM/Nitrile/PTFE seat; PN10/PN16/PN25/150#/300#

Steam Traps & Strainers 

Float Type Steam Trap (FT-10) — stainless steel base for long life and low maintenance, self-aligning valve and water seal to prevent live steam loss, a modulating orifice mechanism for continuous condensate drainage, integral air vent for quick start-up, and a float construction rated against water-hammer impact.

Y-Type and T-Type Strainers named for their body shape and used for coarse-to-fine filtration; body typically cast iron or cast steel with flanged or socket-weld end connections; filter elements in stainless steel perforated sheet or wire mesh. Duplex (twin-basket) strainers use a pair of three-way ball valves on a common handle so flow can be switched to a standby basket for cleaning without interrupting the process available up to 48" NB and down to 5 micron filtration.

Sluice Valves & Pressure Reducing Valves

Sluice Valves (Rising/Non-Rising Spindle) rated for clear water up to 5000 ppm turbidity and 45C (up to 180C on special design), to IS 14846, with options including position indicator, by-pass arrangement, back-seat repacking, spur/bevel/worm gear operation, thrust bearing arrangement, and electric actuation.

Drum Type Pressure Reducing Valve — Cast Iron/Cast Steel/SS304/SS316 body and piston, BUNA-N seat, 1-7 kg/cm² and 4-12 kg/cm² reducing ranges, 18 kg/cm² max inlet pressure, flanged 150# end connection.
