SA 210 is a type of ferritic carbon steel that was created to be used in high-pressure and high temperature services. ASTM/ASME SA 210 Grade A1 Boiler Tubes are produced with a well-regulated chemical composition, which is normally 0.27 percent carbon, 0.93 percent manganese, 0.10 percent silicon, and low concentration of phosphorus and sulfur. This is due to the fact that this balanced composition is highly mechanical and offers a good degree of resistance to corrosion and oxidation in harsh environments of operation. The material has the lowest tensile strength of 415 Mpa and yield strength of 215 Mpa and has a typical elongation of about 30 percent and maximum hardness of 79 HRB making it offer good ductility and toughness.
