tubes, designed for use in the construction of bridges and buildings. Moreover, ASTM A36 Carbon
Steel Pipe serves various customary structural purposes, as outlined within the specification. To
ensure compliance, a heat analysis is performed on the ASTM A36 Carbon Steel Tube, aimed at
determining the required chemical composition.
The alloy composition of ASTM A36 Pipe comprises elements like manganese, carbon, phosphorus,
silicon, sulfur, and copper. In addition to the heat analysis, the ASTM A36 Seamless Pipe undergoes
a tension test.
This test assesses critical parameters including tensile and yield strength, along with elongation properties. All these properties must adhere to the specified tensile requirements. Notably, being classified as a structural-grade material, carbon steel ASTM A36 Water Pipe exhibits excellent weldability characteristics. It can be easily welded using various techniques, such as gas metal arc welding (GMAW) or MIG welding, shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) or stick welding, as well as oxyacetylene welding. Furthermore, the ASTM A36 Steel Pipe can be hardened or carburized using conventional methods typically employed for alloy steel grade AISI 1018.
