Amardeep Steel is a leading alloy steel bar supplier and alloy steel round bar manufacturer offering a comprehensive range of alloy steel bars, rods and wires for demanding industrial applications worldwide. Our products comply with ASTM A182, ASME SA 182, ASTM A276, and ASME SA 276 standards, making them suitable for high-pressure, high-temperature, and corrosion-prone environments.
Alloy steel bars are solid cylindrical or rectangular pieces of alloy steel produced in a range of sizes and grades. They offer significantly improved
mechanical properties compared to standard carbon steel bars, including enhanced strength, hardness, toughness, and resistance to wear and corrosion. The specific combination of alloying elements such as chromium, molybdenum, nickel, vanadium, and manganese determines the final performance profile of each bar.
Available in both hot-rolled alloy steel round bars and alloy steel bright bars, our products are used across manufacturing, heavy engineering, oil & gas, power generation, aerospace, and construction industries.
Alloy Steel Bar Grades
The grade of alloy steel bar is selected based on the mechanical and environmental demands of the application. Below are the most widely used grades:
Grade 4140 — Chromium-Molybdenum Steel
AISI 4140 is a chromium-molybdenum alloy steel offering excellent tensile strength, hardness, and fatigue resistance. It has a minimum yield strength of 80 ksi and minimum tensile strength of 100 ksi. Commonly used for manufacturing gears, shafts, fasteners, tool holders, spindles, and couplings. Also referred to as 42CrMo4 under DIN/EN standards.
Grade 4130 — Chromium-Molybdenum Steel
AISI 4130 is prized for its superior toughness and weldability, making it a preferred material for aircraft components, structural tubing, and motorsport applications. See our dedicated ASTM A519-Grade 4130 Tubing page for more details.
Grade 4340 — Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum Steel
AISI 4340 delivers very high strength and excellent toughness. It is widely used in the production of gears, crankshafts, axles, and heavy-duty shafts. Also available as AISI 4340 Tubes on our website.
Grade 8620 — Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum Steel
AISI 8620 offers a unique combination of strength, toughness, and wear resistance. It is widely employed for case-hardened components including gears, chain links, axles, and reamer bodies.
Grade 6150 — Chromium-Vanadium Steel
AISI 6150 provides outstanding fatigue strength and impact resistance. It is the preferred choice for high-stress applications including springs, gears, and shafts that are subjected to shock loading.
Grade AISI 4330V MOD
An advanced ultra-high-strength alloy steel designed for aerospace and defence applications. See our AISI 4330V MOD Round Bars page for full specifications.
