What is ASTM A106?
ASTM A106 seamless pressure pipe, which is also called ASME SA106 pipe, is often used to build oil and gas refineries, power plants, petrochemical plants, boilers, and ships. This is because the pipe needs to carry fluids and gasses that are hot and under a lot of pressure.
ASTM A106 is made with sulfur, carbon, manganese, nickel, molybdenum, and copper as its main ingredients. Because these things are in the ASTM A106 Grade B Pipe, it is very resistant to corrosion. These grade B pipes are made to be used in situations with high pressure and temperature.
