Super Duplex Steel 2507 is a high performance grade of stainless steel with balanced austenite and ferrite microstructure 50/50. This bi-phase alloy containing about 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum, and 7% nickel offers a high degree of mechanical strength, excellent ductility and high level of corrosion resistance. Because of this, Super Duplex Steel 2507 Pipes and Tubes are utilized in chemical processing, marine, offshore oil and gas, pollution control, desalination and food processing industries.
The Tubing 2507 grade is designed with special considerations of critical applications that are high in strength and corrosion resistance. It provides superior performance against chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking (SCC), pitting and crevice corrosion compared to traditional grades of 316L and 904L. These pipes have a minimum tensile strength of 690 Mpa and yield strength of 485 Mpa which ensure that they can withstand high pressure, temperature and mechanical stress in a structural way. They are easily machined, can be stretched at least 20 percent, can withstand temperatures of up to 600 F (315 C) with low thermal expansion, and are the perfect fit in a heat exchanger system.
Super Duplex 2507 Pipes (UNS S32750 Pipes) comes in seamless as well as welded type. Flawless pipes are produced with no weld joints to enhance high pressure applications. Welded pipes are cost effective with great durability. The seamless pipes have sizes between 4 mm and 219 mm and the welded ones have sizes of up to 1219.2 mm with a thickness of 0.5 mm to 20 mm and schedule of SCH 5 to SCH XXS.
2507 Super Duplex tubing is available in multiple forms: round, square, rectangular and U-shaped configurations. They come in annealed and pickled, hot finished, bright annealed or cold drawn conditions and may be polished and surface finished to increase corrosion resistance. Single random, double random and cut-to-length delivery can be ordered to meet project needs.
