Duplex 2507 stainless steel (UNS S23750) is made with a lot of chromium and molybdenum and is very
resistant to corrosion by organic acids.
Duplex 2507 stainless steel (UNS S23750) has a high resistance to corrosion from inorganic acids as
well.
When sulfuric acid is mixed with chloride ions, duplex 2507 stainless steel (UNS S23750) is more
resistant to corrosion than 904L stainless steel. 904L is an austenitic alloy that is used to protect
against pure sulfuric acid corrosion.
