Super duplex seamless pipes are manufactured from a solid billet using hot extrusion or piercing processes, resulting in a uniform wall thickness with no weld seam. These pipes are preferred for high-pressure and high-temperature applications where structural integrity is critical. Conforming to ASTM A790, our seamless super duplex pipes are stocked in standard schedule sizes from Schedule 5S to Schedule 160 in OD ranges from 6.35 mm to 323.8 mm.
Super duplex welded pipes are formed by rolling flat strip into a tubular shape and welding the longitudinal seam using TIG or plasma arc welding. Electric resistance welded (ERW) pipes are produced using high-frequency induction welding. Both welded and ERW super duplex pipe types undergo post-weld heat treatment and full radiographic inspection to ensure the weld zone meets the same mechanical and corrosion resistance standards as the parent material.
Electric fusion welded (EFW) pipes are produced by submerged arc or plasma welding processes and are suitable for large-diameter applications. Fabricated super duplex pipes are made to non-standard dimensions or configurations specified by the end user. Amardeep Steel Centre supplies both EFW and fabricated super duplex pipes for pressure vessel, heat exchanger, and structural applications.
Super duplex hydraulic tubes are precision-drawn to tight OD and wall thickness tolerances for use in high-pressure instrumentation, hydraulic control lines, and heat exchanger tubing. Coiled tubes, pancake coils, and U-shaped tubes are also available for heat transfer and condensation applications in offshore and power generation environments.
The table below provides indicative weights for super duplex steel seamless pipes in common schedule designations. Actual weights may vary based on material grade and manufacturing tolerances. Contact our technical team for exact weight calculations and certified mill reports.

Super duplex stainless steel pipe is specified wherever corrosive environments, high mechanical loads, and extended service life requirements converge. Amardeep Steel Centre regularly supplies super duplex pipe and tubing to the following sectors.
Oil and Gas Industry: Offshore production platforms, subsea flowlines, topside piping, seawater injection systems, and process pipework in oil refineries require materials that resist chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking. Super duplex pipe in UNS S32750 and S32760 grades is the benchmark material for these critical applications.
Desalination Plants: Multi-stage flash (MSF) and reverse osmosis (RO) desalination systems subject piping to continuous contact with high-salinity seawater. Super duplex steel tubing withstands this environment without pitting or erosion degradation over decades of operation.
Chemical and Petrochemical Processing: Reactors, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and transfer lines handling sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, chlorinated organics, and high-temperature brine solutions rely on super duplex pipe specification compliance with ASTM A790 and stringent mechanical property requirements.
Power Generation: Flue gas desulfurization (FGD) systems, condensers, and cooling water circuits in thermal and nuclear power plants use super duplex stainless steel pipe for its ability to handle both high temperatures and corrosive media simultaneously.
Marine and Shipbuilding: Seawater cooling systems, ballast water treatment pipework, and deck piping aboard commercial vessels and naval ships are specified in super duplex tubing to prevent biofouling-accelerated corrosion in saltwater service.
Fertilizer and Pharmaceutical Plants: Urea synthesis loops, ammonia lines, and corrosive chemical feed systems in fertilizer manufacturing, as well as high-purity process lines in pharmaceutical production, use super duplex pipe for its combination of chemical resistance and high-pressure handling capacity.
Pulp and Paper Industry: Digesters, bleaching circuits, and effluent handling systems in pulp mills expose piping to hot sulfurous and chloride-bearing liquors. Super duplex steel pipes withstand these environments far better than standard austenitic grades.
Amardeep Steel Centre stocks and supplies the following sub-categories under the super duplex pipe range. Click on each sub-category for full specifications, chemical compositions, and stock availability.
Amardeep Steel Centre sources raw material only from certified mills and subjects every lot to a multi-stage quality control process before dispatch. Our manufacturing and inspection approach ensures that every super duplex steel pipe and tube delivered meets or exceeds the declared specification.
All incoming raw material is subjected to spectrometric analysis (PMI testing) to verify chemical composition against the declared heat certificate. Material is accepted only when it conforms fully to the UNS grade requirements.
Seamless pipes undergo hot extrusion followed by solution annealing at temperatures above 1040 degrees C to dissolve intermetallic phases and restore a balanced austenite-ferrite microstructure. Welded pipes are TIG or plasma arc welded, then solution annealed, pickled, and passivated. All pipes are water-quenched after annealing to lock in the duplex microstructure.
Each super duplex pipe batch undergoes the following tests before certification and dispatch.
Amardeep Steel Centre holds the following certifications and approvals relevant to super duplex steel pipes and tubes. Test reports are provided per EN 10204 3.1 as standard, with 3.2 reports available via third-party inspection agencies.
Amardeep Steel Centre supplies super duplex steel pipes and tubes in UNS S32750 (SAF 2507), UNS S32760 (Zeron 100), and UNS S32950 grades. All grades are produced per ASTM A790 for pipe and ASTM A789 for tubes, with available DIN equivalent 1.4410 and 1.4501 designations for European projects.
Super duplex steel pipe contains higher chromium (24 to 26 percent), molybdenum (3 to 5 percent), and nitrogen than standard duplex, resulting in a pitting resistance equivalent number (PREN) above 40. This gives super duplex pipe superior resistance to chloride pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, making it the material of choice for seawater systems, offshore applications, and highly corrosive chemical service.
Super duplex pipes at Amardeep Steel Centre are manufactured per ASTM A790 and ASME SA790 for seamless and welded pipe, and per ASTM A789 and ASME SA789 for tubing. Dimensional standards follow ANSI/ASME B36.19. Additional standards applicable include NACE MR0175 for sour service and PED for European pressure equipment applications.
Super duplex steel pipe in UNS S32750 grade is typically limited to a maximum service temperature of 316 degrees C (600 degrees F). Extended exposure above this temperature can cause precipitation of embrittling intermetallic phases, which reduces both toughness and corrosion resistance. For cryogenic or low-temperature service, super duplex maintains good toughness down to approximately minus 50 degrees C.
Yes. Amardeep Steel Centre supplies super duplex pipes in custom outer diameters, wall thicknesses, and lengths to meet project-specific requirements. Custom fabricated pipes, large-diameter EFW pipes, and precision hydraulic tubing in special sizes are available on request with lead times communicated at the time of inquiry.
