What Are Inconel 825 Pipes and Tubes?
Inconel 825, which is also referred to as Incoloy 825 and Alloy 825 (UNS N08825), is a highly refined nickel-iron-chromium alloy that performs excellently under harsh and corrosive conditions. Its composition is excellent in terms of chemicals since molybdenum, copper, and titanium were used in specific proportions to make it. Inconel 825 Pipes & Tubes have well-balanced chemistry for their protection against more than one element. Copper give them resistance to destructive acids like sulfuric and phosphoric acid, and chromium prevents them from being affected by oxidizing acids like nitric acid. The molybdenum also helps to resist pitting and corrosive attack in crevices, and the high content of nickel provides virtually complete protection against chloride-ion stress corrosion cracking.Adding titanium to the alloy makes it more stable when welding. Even after they have been welded, this renders Inconel 825 Seamless & Welded Pipes & Tubes resistant to intergranular corrosion. This makes them the best choice for demanding uses in acid production, chemical processing, and oil and gas recovery.
