Gate, Globe, Check, Ball and Butterfly Industrial Valves manufactured by Amardeep Steel Centre

Industrial Valves Manufacturer, Supplier & Exporter in India

Amardeep Steel Centre LLP has built its valve business the same way it built its pipe and fittings trade: by stocking deep and shipping fast. Out of Mumbai, the company manufactures, stocks, supplies and exports Gate, Globe, Check, Ball, Butterfly and Sluice valves, along with steam traps and strainers, in Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Alloy Steel, Duplex, Monel, Inconel and Hastelloy. Process plants in more than 60 countries now source from this range.

Sizes run from 1/2" (15 NB) right up to 48" (1200 NB). On the pressure side, the catalogue spans ANSI Class 150 through 2500 LBS and DIN PN10 through PN40, built to API 6D, API 600, ASME B16.34 and IS 14846.

Valve Manufacturing & Quality Testing Process

Most valve bodies and trims in this range start life either as a casting (the route used for Gate, Globe, Check, Ball and Butterfly bodies) or as a forging, reserved for smaller, higher-pressure designs where grain flow matters more than casting economics. From there, every valve goes through the same sequence: raw material checks, precision CNC machining of the bore, seats and stem, assembly, and pressure testing before it ships.

Gate Valves

A gate valve does its job with a flat or wedge-shaped gate that lifts entirely clear of the bore when open, so pressure drop across an open gate valve is about as low as it gets. That's also its limit: the same full-bore clearance that makes it efficient when open makes it a poor choice for throttling, so these are specified for on-off duty, not flow control. Amardeep supplies both Hand Wheel Operated and Gear Operated versions, and the following are available on request:

Globe Valves

Where a gate valve is built for clearance, a globe valve is built for control. Flow takes an S-shaped path through the body, past a disc and seat, the geometry that gives globe valves their throttling precision and a tighter shutoff than a gate valve can manage, at the cost of a permanent pressure drop even when the valve is wide open. Both Hand Wheel Operated and Gear Operated versions are available, in:

Check Valves

Check valves have one job: let flow move one way and stop it from reversing, automatically, with no operator or actuator involved. The range covers Swing Check, Lift Type, Single Plate Wafer and Dual Plate Wafer designs, built as:

Ball Valves

A quarter turn of the handle rotates the bored ball in and out of the flow path, which is why ball valves are the go-to choice wherever tight shutoff and fast operation both matter, and, in full-bore form, the flow path is barely restricted at all when open. The lineup runs from 1-Piece through 2-Piece and 3-Piece (reduced bore, full bore and full-jacketed variants) up to 3-Way/4-Way IC ball valves, plus several purpose-built designs:

Butterfly Valves

A butterfly valve trades a little pressure drop for a lot of practicality: the disc stays in the bore even fully open, but because the whole assembly is thinner and lighter than an equivalent gate or ball valve, it's the natural choice once pipe diameters get large. The range covers Wafer Type, Offset Disc, Lugged Type, Pharma, Double Flanged Handle and Spherical Disc designs, across Models 12/12L, 44/44L, 98 Hygiene, 81, 85F, 91/91L (High-Performance Double Offset) and 93/93L (High-Performance Triple Offset), with material options including:

Steam Traps & Strainers

The Float Type Steam Trap (FT-10) is built around a stainless steel body for long service life with minimal maintenance; a self-aligning valve and water seal stop live steam escaping, a modulating orifice keeps condensate draining continuously, an integral air vent speeds up start-up, and the float itself is designed to survive water-hammer impact rather than fail under it.

Y-Type and T-Type Strainers take their name from their body shape and handle coarse-to-fine filtration ahead of valves, pumps and instruments; bodies are typically cast iron or cast steel with flanged or socket-weld ends, and the filter element itself is stainless steel perforated sheet or wire mesh. For applications that can't tolerate a shutdown to clean a strainer, Duplex (twin-basket) strainers pair two three-way ball valves on a common handle so flow switches to a standby basket while the other is cleaned (available up to 48" NB and down to 5 micron filtration).

Sluice Valves & Pressure Reducing Valves

Sluice Valves, built to IS 14846 in Rising and Non-Rising Spindle configurations, are rated for clear water service up to 5,000 ppm turbidity and 45°C as standard (up to 180°C on special design), with position indicator, by-pass arrangement, back-seat repacking, spur/bevel/worm gear operation, thrust bearing arrangement and electric actuation all available as options.

The Drum Type Pressure Reducing Valve uses a Cast Iron/Cast Steel/SS304/SS316 body and piston with a BUNA-N seat, covering 1-7 kg/cm² and 4-12 kg/cm² reducing ranges up to an 18 kg/cm² maximum inlet pressure, with a flanged 150# end connection.

Frequently Asked Questions About Industrial Valves

Who is a reliable industrial valve manufacturer in India?

Amardeep Steel Centre LLP is a Mumbai-based industrial valve manufacturer, stockist and exporter supplying Gate, Globe, Check, Ball, Butterfly, Sluice valves, strainers and steam traps to over 60 countries.

What is the difference between a gate valve and a globe valve?

A gate valve lifts a flat or wedge gate clear of the flow path for very low pressure drop when fully open, and suits on-off rather than throttling service. A globe valve routes flow past a disc and seat in an S-shaped path, giving better throttling control and shutoff but a higher permanent pressure drop even fully open.

What is the difference between a ball valve and a butterfly valve?

A ball valve rotates a bored ball 90 degrees for tight shutoff and a near-unrestricted full-bore flow path. A butterfly valve rotates a disc within the pipe bore — more compact and lightweight for large diameters, but the disc stays in the flow path, causing a small pressure drop even fully open.

What valve standards and certifications does Amardeep Steel Centre work to?

Our valves and valve sourcing conform to API 6D, API 600, API 598 (shell and seat testing), ASME B16.34, BS 5352/1873, and IS 14846 for sluice valves, with EN 10204 3.1/3.2 material certification and third-party inspection available on request.

What size and pressure range do you supply?
