The stainless steel 317L forged fitting is slightly different from the SS 317 forged fitting, and it is also applied in the industry where corrosion resistance and strength are needed. The chemical composition of this forged fitting is about 18-20% Chromium, 11-15% Nickel, and 3-4 percent Molybdenum with low carbon content, hence it is easy to weld into various applications and reduce the carbide precipitation at high temperatures. This forged fitting is stable even in high temperatures up to approximately 870 °C.
