Stainless Steel 347 Forged Fittings is a columbium (niobium) stabilized material that is used in high-temperature and corrosive applications. It's made up of 17-19 % chromium, 9-13 % nickel, and includes niobium/tantalum, which prevents the formation of the carbide and intergranular corrosion in the welding process. This stabilization results in it being more resistant to stress corrosion cracking than traditional 304 or 316 grades. SS 347 is known to possess good creep resistance, minimum tensile strength of 515 Mpa and, good oxidation resistance, and high mechanical properties. The manufacture of these forged fittings is done to ASTM A182, ASME B16.11, and MSS standards, which provide reliability of pressure and accuracy of dimensions.
