Stainless Steel 316H Flanges are high-carbon versions of the 316 family, designed to serve at higher temperatures above 550 °C and where the normal 316 or 316L grades cannot be used anymore. The most notable feature of SS 316H is the increased carbon content of min 0.04%, max 0.10% which dramatically increases the creep strength and tensile strength at very high operating temperatures which makes it the material of choice in power plants, petrochemical furnaces, and superheater piping systems. These stainless steel flanges are manufactured to ASTM A182 / ASME SA182 F316H standards and equivalent grades UNS S31609 / DIN 1.4436 available in WNRF, SORF, BLRF, RTJ, and others, with pressure classes of 150 -2500 # and sizes of 1 /2 -48 in. Amardeep Steel manufactures SS 316H Flanges to ASTM A182 / ASME SA182 F316H with full EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates, third-party inspection support, and export-ready packaging serving power generation and petrochemical clients across India and internationally.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is 316H stainless steel?
316H stainless steel is a high-carbon version of 316 grade designed for improved strength and creep resistance at elevated temperatures.
What is ASTM A182 F316H flange specification?
ASTM A182 F316H is a standard specification for forged stainless steel flanges used in high-temperature and high-pressure applications.
What is the difference between 316, 316L, and 316H flanges?
The main difference between them is that 316L has low carbon for better weldability, 316 is the standard grade, and 316H has higher carbon for enhanced high-temperature strength.
What are the applications of SS 316H flanges?
They are used in power plants, petrochemical industries, heat exchangers, and high-temperature process piping systems.
What is the temperature range of SS 316H flanges?
SS 316H flanges are typically used in elevated temperature applications above 550°C, where higher creep strength is required.
