Stainless Steel 304H Flanges Manufacturer & Supplier

Stainless Steel 304H Flanges are a high-carbon variant of the standard SS 304 grade, where the ‘H’ designation indicates an elevated carbon content (0.04–0.10%), which enhances creep strength and resistance to intergranular corrosion at elevated temperatures. Similar to other austenitic stainless steel flanges, they contain 18–20% chromium and 8.0 -10.5% nickel that give them good oxidation resistance and durability. The SS 304H flanges have good mechanical characteristics as well in terms of high tensile strength and good weldability in controlled environments. They are made to ASTM A182 F304H, and are offered in ANSI B16.5, sizes 1/2 to 48 inches, and comes in stainless steel 304h forged fitting, weld neck, slip-on, and blind flanges and many more. These types of flanges are commonly utilized in power plants, heat exchangers, and refineries and Amardeep Steel is a reliable manufacturer and supplier

Frequently Asked Questions - Stainless Steel 304H Flanges
What are Stainless Steel 304H flanges?
Stainless Steel 304H flanges are high-carbon forged pipe fittings used to connect pipes and equipment in high-temperature systems. They are designed for improved strength and performance in elevated temperature applications.
What does “H” mean in SS 304H flanges?
The “H” in 304H stands for higher carbon content, which increases creep strength and heat resistance. This makes the material suitable for high-temperature environments.
What is ASTM A182 F304H flange?
ASTM A182 F304H is a standard specification for forged high-carbon flanges used in high-temperature and pressure services. It ensures proper chemical composition and mechanical properties.
What is the difference between 304H and 304L flanges?
The main difference is carbon content, 304H has higher carbon for strength at high temperatures, while 304L stainless steel grade has lower carbon for better weldability and corrosion resistance.
What are the properties of Stainless Steel 304H flanges?
SS 304H flanges offer high tensile strength, excellent oxidation resistance, good creep strength, and reliable performance in elevated temperatures, making them ideal for heat-intensive applications.
