Extruded Aluminium Square Tube

Extruded Aluminium Square Tube Manufacturer and Exporter, India

Extruded aluminium square tube is a hollow, equal-sided structural section formed by forcing a heated aluminium alloy billet through a shaped die. This die creates a square aluminum profile in one continuous length while ensuring the same thickness of all walls of the square tube, including either angular or rounded corners depending on the die cutting type. The lightweight factor of the extruded aluminium square tube and its strength make it the ideal solution for use in architectural framing as well as any engineering applications. Amardeep Steel Centre has been producing goods related to stainless steel and specialised tubing since its inception in 1982 and has reached the number of locations to which it exports its products to over 40 countries today. We provide different makes of extruded aluminium square tube types, including 6061, 6063, 6082, and 6005A grades as well as other types of aluminium tubes such as round, square, or other hollow shapes.

Applications of Extruded Aluminium Square Tube

Extruded aluminium square tube is often specified alongside ouraluminium pipes and tubes range and ouraluminium products catalog, where round tube, flanges, and fittings complete the same structural or process assembly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which alloy is best for architectural aluminium square tube?

6063 is generally the first choice for architectural work, since it extrudes with the smoothest surface finish and takes an anodised finish more evenly than 6061 or 6082. Where the section is doing real structural work rather than just framing, 6061 or 6082 are worth specifying instead.

What is the difference between extruded and welded aluminium square tube?

An extruded square tube is formed in one pass through a die, so the whole profile, including all four walls and corners, comes out as a single piece with no seam. A welded square tube is made by rolling flat aluminium sheet into a square shape and welding the seam closed, which leaves a weld line and a heat affected zone that is slightly weaker than the parent metal. Extruded tube is the better choice wherever uniform strength and a clean, seamless finish matter.

What surface finishes are available for aluminium square tube?

Three main options: mill finish, which is the tube as it comes off the extrusion press with no further treatment; anodised finish, which is an electrochemically formed oxide layer available clear or in colour; and powder coating, which gives the widest colour range and the most durability for exterior use. Aluminium is not galvanised, since galvanising is a zinc-coating process used on steel and does not apply to aluminium.

What is the maximum size available in extruded aluminium square tube?

Amardeep Steel Centre supplies extruded aluminium square tube from 12.7 mm up to 300 mm side dimension. Larger custom sizes can be discussed with our engineering team against your drawing.

Can aluminium square tube be custom cut to length?

Yes. Standard lengths are 3 metres and 6 metres, and we cut to custom lengths against your order quantity and specification.

Does Amardeep provide Mill Test Certificates with aluminium square tube orders?

Yes, every order of extruded aluminium square tube ships with an EN 10204 3.1 Mill Test Certificate covering the chemical composition and mechanical properties of the alloy supplied.
