EN 10216-1 P195TR1 Seamless Pipes & Tubes

EN 10216-1 P195TR1 Seamless Pipes & Tubes

For general service where easy fabrication matters, EN 10216-1 P195TR1 seamless pipes and tubes provide a straightforward low carbon steel option. Material grade 1.0107, P195TR is the lowest substance category in EN 10216-1 with a minimum yield point of 195 MPa and tensile range of 320MPa and 440MPa respectively. Because the alloy with low carbon concentration does not harden as well as other alloys, thus the pipes and tubes made of it have better ability to bend, flare and weld while their fabrication and installation. Amardeep Steel produces seamless tubes and pipes according to EN 10216-1, providing mill certifications and heat tracing documents for each product. If impact tested material is required, see our EN 10216-1 P195TR2 seamless tubes, or browse all carbon steel seamless pipes and tubes. Every order includes an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate and full heat traceability.

What Are P195TR1 Seamless Pipes and Tubes?

EN 10216-1 covers seamless non-alloy steel tubes for pressure purposes with properties specified at room temperature. In the grade name, P stands for pressure purposes, 195 is the minimum yield in MPa, T stands for tubes and R for room temperature. The "1" marks quality TR1: no aluminium requirement and no mandatory impact test.

When to Choose TR1

TR1 suits low pressure systems at ambient temperature where impact testing is not called for, such as water, air and general pressure lines. EN 10216-1 allows TR1 tubes to be supplied with non-specific inspection, though we supply EN 10204 3.1 certificates as standard.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is P195TR1?

P195TR1 (1.0107) is a non-alloy steel grade in EN 10216-1 for seamless pressure tubes, with 195 MPa minimum yield and 320 to 440 MPa tensile strength at room temperature.

What is the difference between P195TR1 and P195TR2?

P195TR2 has a minimum aluminium content, a lower sulfur limit, mandatory impact testing at 0°C and specific inspection. P195TR1 has none of these requirements.

What does TR1 mean in EN 10216-1?

T stands for tubes, R for properties specified at room temperature, and 1 for quality 1, the basic quality without impact testing.

What is the delivery condition of P195TR1 tubes?

Tubes are delivered normalised or normalising formed (+N). Cold finished tubes are normalised after cold forming.
