BS 2871 Part 3 CZ - 111 Admiralty Brass Tubes Manufacturer and Supplier in India

BS 2871 PT 3 CZ - 111 Admiralty Brass Tubes are alloy copper zinc tubes that are used in condensers, heat exchangers and marine coolers. CZ111 consists of 70%-73% copper, 1.0%-1.5% tin and 0.02%-0.06% arsenic with zinc making up the remainder. The tin improves the anti-corrosive properties while the arsenic prevents dezincification. These tubes are utilized in power plants, shipbuilding and industrial cooling systems where dependable heat transfer and corrosion resistance is required. Unless BS EN 12451 is ordered, the buyer should check material equivalency and dimensions before placing an order as BS 2871 Part 3 has been superseded. Amardeep Steel offers CZ111 Admiralty Brass tubes in O, TA and M condition as per the drawing or to the current BS EN 12451 standard.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are BS 2871 Part 3 CZ111 Admiralty Brass Tubes?

BS 2871 Part 3 CZ111 Admiralty Brass Tubes are copper-zinc alloy tubes containing tin and a small amount of arsenic. They are used in condensers and heat exchangers.

Has BS 2871 Part 3 been replaced by BS EN 12451?

Yes, BS 2871 Part 3 was superseded by BS EN 12451 for seamless round copper alloy heat exchanger tubes. Confirm the exact grade and requirements before substituting standards.

What are CZ111 Admiralty Brass Tubes used for?

They are used in marine condensers, power plants, heat exchangers, industrial coolers, and seawater cooling systems.

Why is Admiralty Brass used in condenser tubes?

Admiralty Brass offers good heat transfer, corrosion resistance, and resistance to dezincification, making it suitable for many condenser applications.

Are CZ111 Admiralty Brass Tubes resistant to seawater corrosion?

They resist corrosion well in fresh and brackish cooling water. For clean seawater at higher velocities, aluminium brass or copper nickel is usually preferred.

Are BS 2871 CZ111 tubes seamless or welded?

CZ111 condenser tubes are commonly supplied as seamless tubes, subject to the specified product requirements.
