C330 Low Lead Brass Pipes (C33000 Tube) Supplier and Exporter

C330 Low Lead Brass Pipes (C33000 Tube)

C330 low lead brass pipes are intended for components that need to be fabricated in a single manufacturing process. C330 refers to UNS C33000, a type of yellow brass that consists of about 66 percent copper and 34 percent zinc and has a low lead content of 0.25 to 0.7 percent, making it easy to machine but still highly ductile. That makes it low leaded. It is not lead free.

Amardeep Steel Centre supplies C33000 brass tube, which buyers often ask for as C330 brass pipe, from Mumbai, as a C33000 brass pipe supplier in India and for export buyers. Send the outside diameter, wall thickness, length, temper and quantity on the enquiry page and Amardeep Steel Centre replies with what can be shipped and when.

Where C33000 Pipe Is Used

  • Pump cylinder liners: Tube cut and finished as liners for pumps.
  • Power cylinders: Cylinder tube that is machined and fitted in power equipment.
  • Pump lines: Tube run as lines between pump parts, bent and fitted.
  • J bends: Tube bent tight into J shapes without cracking.
  • Plumbing accessories: Fittings and accessories in service that does not carry drinking water.
  • Cold formed and machined parts: Sleeves and fittings that are formed cold and then cut to size.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are C330 low lead brass pipes?

C330 is the common name for UNS C33000, a low leaded yellow brass with about 66 per cent copper, 34 zinc and 0.25 to 0.7 per cent lead. The small lead addition helps machining while the alloy stays easy to form cold. It is supplied as tube, often called pipe, for pump, cylinder and plumbing accessory work.

Is C33000 lead free?

No. C33000 is low leaded, with 0.25 to 0.7 per cent lead, which is above the 0.25 per cent weighted average limit used in United States drinking water rules. It is not for potable wetted parts. For lead restricted work ask us for C26000 or C27400, and tell us the rule you must meet.

What is the difference between C33000 and C26000?

C26000 is 70/30 cartridge brass with lead held to 0.07 per cent maximum. C33000 has a little less copper and 0.25 to 0.7 per cent lead, so it machines better, about 60 against about 30. Choose C26000 when lead must be kept to a minimum, and C33000 when the part is machined.

Is C330 the same as C33000?

Yes. C330 is the short form of UNS C33000, also written CDA 330 or alloy 330. Use C33000 on drawings and purchase orders so there is no doubt about the grade. Either name reaches us, and we confirm the grade and the standard in the quotation.

Is C33000 supplied as pipe or tube?

C33000 is a tube alloy, covered by ASTM B135 as seamless tube. In the trade it is also asked for as pipe, and buyers usually mean tube sized by outside diameter and wall. If your drawing calls for pipe by nominal bore, send it and we will confirm what can be supplied.

Can C33000 be bent, formed and machined?

Yes. Cold forming and soldering are excellent, brazing is good and the machinability rating is about 60. Hot forming is poor and seam welding is not recommended, so plan to form cold and join by solder or braze. Tell us the forming steps and we will advise on the temper.

Looking to Enquire or Place an Order?

Tell Amardeep Steel Centre the size, the temper and the quantity, and what the tube has to do. You get a price, a delivery date and a straight view on whether C33000 is the right brass for the job, and if it is not, we say so. You can attach your drawing to the enquiry.
