S31042 Pipes and Tubes Manufacturer and Supplier in India

UNS S31042 Pipes & Tubes

S31042 Pipes & Tubes are high temperature austenitic stainless steel products designed for high-temperature boiler applications, which require creep strength and steam oxidation resistance. The grade, known as TP310HCbN or HR3C, is one of the several grades that have been developed for the heat resistant applications. The grade is generally a 19:24:19 grade containing approximately 24–26% chromium, 19–22% nickel, with controlled amounts of 0.20–0.60% niobium and 0.15–0.35% nitrogen. These alloying elements help create strengthening precipitates that enhance resistance to high-temperature, long-term performance. S31042 tubes are commonly used in the superheater and reheater sections of supercritical and ultra-supercritical boilers, and are made to ASME SA213/ASTM A213 standards. The material also has improved steam oxidation resistance as compared to the traditional 18Cr austenitic grades. Amardeep Steel produces and provides S31042 Pipes & Tubes for the critical power generation applications.
